INTRODUCTION

 Hey! my name is Rehab Fatima Mir from As- 1. I will be attempting the CIE media studies exam in the May/June series in 2018.

I enjoy all forms of media, but I tend to have a certain inclination towards film media. Stories are brought to life through films, with visual and auditory presentation, thus the liking for films.

In today’s world, media has a very strong influence on the society. This influence can spread just about anything, be it positivity, be it hatred, you name it – it has been spread before, and is spreading now. It also has the capability to change a person’s nature, though the process takes a variable amount of time. This influence should be used positively – which I believe is happening, though only to a certain degree.
